"In a journey it is not the destination that counts, but always the distance travelled".

The Way of Compostela or "Camino de Santiago" is a centuries-old pilgrimage.
It consists of several seniters of hikes marked by yellow arrows that can be found everywhere, on the ground, walls, rocks and which all indicate, the famous direction. There are also "Albergues", a kind of cottage, dormitories, hostel reserved for pilgrims where the first arrivals are the first served.
There are departures from all the cities of Europe to do the camino, but it is once in Spain that several choices are proposed to reach Santiago.
From France there is the Camino francés, the most frequented of the passages, then the primitive camino which passes deeper inland and finally the camino del norte which runs along the north Spanish coast which goes up and down.

The pilgrimage qualification gives the Santiago Camino a religious aspect. But over the years, travellers have made the pilgrimage under completely different motives. There is this couple of hikers from Quebec who for the past 6 years, have been walking for the sporting challenge they offer and all the benefits they bring. We can also from this man who has burned out in his work and in his life in general and it is put on the camino for the spiritual aspect and introspection in itself. And there are other people who don't yet know what they came for on this trip. But one thing is for sure, no one ends up on the camino by chance.
